6 days old
My little guy has changed so much in such a short time. I can hardly believe 3 months has passed already, and yet it seems that I have thoroughly enjoyed the time and it feels like he has been here much longer!
When Jack was born he weighed 6 lbs 14 oz, was 19.5 inches long, he had a head full of wavy dark hair, and steel blue eyes. He was perfect.
At 3 months he is 14 lbs, 26.5 inches long, has a tuff of his dark newborn hair on the top of his head, a bald spot in the back and new hair coming in evenly all around. His eyes are blue and getting lighter and lighter. He is getting more handsome with every day that passes!
Jack is a charming little boy. I'm proud to say he is a Mama's boy! He is a talker with many different coo's, sounds, squeels, screeches, and grunts. He is so close to laughing and we are anxiously waiting to hear him any day now! He enjoys tummy time and especially loves it when Julia lays beside him and talks to him and shows him toys. He has just developed an interest in his toys and is batting at them with his fists- on that note he still holds his hands tightly in fists. His smile is infectious and he will not flash it for just anyone! If you get a smile it is genuine! He loves his sister and watches her all day long; she calls him "Pudgy Pie", we have no idea where that came from! He loves to cuddle and be held, he would rather not be put down- ever! He sucks his thumb when he can find it, but will settle for his fist when he's tired.
Best of all he is such a chub! The sweetest leg rolls, squishy cheeks, and a big tummy. He is a good eater!
I love my sweet little boy, he is changing so much every day and it is such a joy to watch.
A friend of mine said it best, "Being a mother is like taking your heart out of your chest and watching it walk around (or just lie there in Jack's case :P)"
