Snug as a bug in a rug

We are all moved in, mostly settled, and happy happy happy! I am in love with this house. It has such a welcoming, relaxed and peaceful presence about it. It is already a home, not just a place to live.

I'll give you a brief talk-through until I get some pictures posted!

You walk in the front door and turn to the right. You are in our family room/play room! Computer in the corner, comfy couch and chair with TV, and tucked away in their own little nook is the kids play room! Go around the corner to the bathroom, walk out back door, head downstairs or go up the few stairs right into the kitchen! The kitchen is open to the dining room, which is really just an extension of the living room. Around the corner from the kitchen is the adult living room (woohoo kid free space!) with beautiful vaulted ceilings, a fireplace in the corner and a nice little sitting area for us grown ups (do we count as grown ups??). If you go down a few stairs you are back at the front door...or, you can go upstairs between the kitchen and living room! Up the stairs we go...Jack's room on the right (super sweet can't wait to post pics!), our room/sanctuary/kid-free space straight ahead, or to the left to Julia's room (almost finished, it won't be long!) and finally,the bathroom- which is getting gutted today! If you were to go downstairs there is the soon-to-be laundry room/storage/utility room on your left, a bedroom at the end of the hall, another bedroom to the right of the first one, and the current laundry room soon-to-be bathroom across from utility room. A quick walk through the back yard- deck off the kitchen with sliding glass doors,a few sheds, oversize double garage, lots of space for kids to play and best of all completely enclosed by fence.

To me it makes sense, to you it is probably a jumble of words that are hard to imagine! Thats what the pictures will help with! Hopefully soon :)

We are enjoying Calgary very much, it is so great to be close to Nana and Papa and the whole clan of Aunts, Uncles and cousins! The kids are very happy, loving the play room and the latest attraction- the zoo. We got our season pass and will be there often for picnic lunches this summer!
